Getting Ready for the 4th

7-4-2006 On Brianna's blog she has a topic on traditions. Well I think our main family tradition is the annual family retreat to the cottage. We have been fortunate that every year the Byar's have made it up north to celebrate. And this year is no exception. Within this tradtion, there are many other small traditons. A few are:

1. Nightly Bonfires

2. Rafting Boats at Oyster Bay

3. The Landings

4. Breakfast over the fire

5.Kilwins Ice Cream

6. Sunset over Lake Michigan

7. Fireworks at the Pinneys

Anyone else have another Up North over the 4th tradition to add???

Keller Williams Tiger Outing

We skipped most of the day from work Thursday and headed out to the ballpark. We left the office around 11am and took a party bus down to Comerica Park. It was a gorgeous day and luckily our seats were in the shade. Yeah I know by the picture, it looks like we didn't watch much of the game. But we did. We lost. Wish we went 2 days before so we couldv'e seen the no hitter!

U.S Air Force Museum

Dad and Mom attended the 494th Bomber Group Reunion in Dayton, Ohio this last week. Mark, Gary and Craig went down for a day and were there for the dedication of the plaque for the group and toured the museum. Only the members of the bomber group were allowed to board the B-24.
