Ski Trip

I spent 4 days skiing at Breckenridge, Co. The first 2 days was so windy. Sometimes we had winds at 80 mile an hour. You would be skiing and there would be a white out in front and in back of you. Also had great snow. The last 2 days was blue skies and wonderful. I went with the Ann Arbor ski club but spent most of the time with Craig and his family.

He had a nice little 50th birthday party up there. And then I went home with them for a night and Cindy drove me to the airport. --Zach--

Up North

Meagan, Mike and I did make it up North last weekend. Was great seeing Mom and Dad. Dad is so happy to have his office upstairs now, and not in the garage. It looks really nice. Dad only could get one of his snowmobiles working so we had to use one of Craigs sled, Thanks Craig. We had fun and it was Mikes really first time doing it and he loved it. We didn't want to go on the Trails due to one of sleds being out of registration. But we did sneak on one trail once, so the kids could get the real feel of it. Doesn't get much better. Well maybe next week, I will say the skiing down Breckenrige doesn't get much better.

This winter has been a great year for snow so far. My way of thinking if it is going to snow, might as well snow a lot. May head up north this week end and really see some white stuff. Don't know if we will be able to snowmobile, hope so. I haven't been up there since October so definitely due.
I will be heading out West in 2 weeks to go skiing at Breckenridge. Craig is going to meet me out there. I would say we are going to ski together, but I never can keep up with him. But sure we will do alot of Apres Ski time together.

Christmas in Florida

Meagan and I went to see Jessica and Calvin for Christmas and we had a great time. Meagan is still there, the lucky duck. While I was there the weather was pretty good. We went to the beach twice and out on the boat once. The picture is from when we went to the sandbar right inside the inlet. On the way out it rained, but then cleared up and was nice.
Jess fixed some great dinners and did a full blown Christmas dinner. And her cookies were just like Grandma Byars.
The layout above-I did with Meagan's Christmas gift-Photoshop. It is really neat, but going to take some time to learn all the bells and whistles.
Hope you all have a great New Year. Mine will be quiet, but won't mind at all.
Oh and if you want to see the Christmas gift I made for Jess and Calvin, go over to the Journal Maker site and I have the layouts from the wedding album I made them on it.

More pictures from the Florida Trip.

Thanksgiving in Alabama

Had a great time in Alabama with Bri, Mike and Tyler. Their new home is really nice and just perfect for them. Tyler and the dogs just love the fenced in back yard, Bri loves her scraproom, and Mike likes his garage. Did some shopping on Friday and then decorating around the house on Saturday.

Meagan and I drove her old car down and returned with a newer car. So she is really excited about that. 10 hr drive down there is really not too bad

Tyler is getting to be such a character. The last night we were there he was playing ring around the rosy, for a good ten minutes, and was falling over because he was getting so dizzy. It was a riot. I have a video of it but is really to dark to post.

Apple Farm

Brianna and Mike were in town this weekend. I took the day off on Friday so I could spend some time with everyone. Above is some pictures taken at the apple farm. Later on that evening we went out and celebrated Bri's 27th B-day.

Autumn is in the Air

The air has changed and loving it. Can't wait to make the annual visit to the cider mill for cider and donuts!

( Picture is by Gary Byar 2006)

Don't know if you have checked Brianna's blog lately (The Taylor's) but they have some exciting news. They are pregnant. Check her video on her site, it is so darn cute. They will be in town in 2 weeks for a family wedding, so will be nice to see them again. Now I just need to get down to see Jessica and Calvin. Would love to go down for Christmas but the flights seem really high. So we will see.
Both Meg and I sold cars this week. She sold her Probe and I pretty much gave away my old van for $100. Well at least we have garage space now.
I had a scrapbook crop last night at my home, it was alot of fun and hope to do it at least once a month. I started a separate blog just for scrapping so I don't bore you all with my scrapbook talk, but if you ever want to check it out, it is listed to the right under Journal Makers.

Have a great week.

Good Times

Have been doing some srappin. Here is a layout of when we had Jessica's bachelorette party. Have a few more pictures of the nite that I still want to do a couple more layouts on.
I went to a crop last weekend in Grand Rapids. Met up with about 15 other scrapbookers from around the state. Had a great time and sounds like we are going to start getting together on a monthly basis. Nice to hang around others that get why we like this craft.
I had planned on going up north for the last hurrah of summer, but ended up having to show homes on Sunday. So that shot that. Hopefully it will be worth staying home for and they will buy something.
Well it is going to be gorgeous here today so going out to work in the lawn, & lay in the sun and read.

Tyler's In The House

Tyler and Brianna have been at the house since last Thursday, and have had a busy time. When Mom and Dad heard Tyler was going to be here, they wanted to come down and see him. So they came in around 4pm on Friday. Had dinner and Les and the girls came too. Then ended up playing dice and had a riot. Haven't laughed that hard in awhile.
Then Saturday we were just hanging around and Steve Hathaway called and wanted us to come over to Grand Haven for the Coast Guard Festival, but Mom and Dad had to get back home. And we were afraid Tyler wouldn't enjoy the heat, etc. Really bummed we missed him. So ended up shopping at Ikea and walked around that for hours.

Then Sunday did a little more shopping and then scrapbooked the night away with Brianna. Meagan was suppose to join us, but she flaked out on us. We didn't get into bed until 2am and I had to work that morning.
Today -got home and had another good dinner (not used to cooking anymore) and now getting ready to watch a movie. Bri and Ty will head over to her in-laws on Wednesday and stay with them until they leave next Tues. Tyler is talking up a storm and Grandma introduced him to blueberries and he loves "boo berries"

Byar Boaters

Here is a picture of Mom and Dad with Cindy while we were crusin on the boat. We were lucky we had 3 really good sunny days, and the next 2 days were a little cloudy but still warm. Had all 5 brothers and sisters there together on the day of the fourth, and Jay invited us over for hot dogs and brats while we watched the fireworks later that night. Was a nice relaxing time as usual.
